Role Overview
As a manager in RSM's expanding Process Risk and Control Practice, you will leverage your expertise and insights while further enhancing your leadership capabilities through extensive client engagement and exposure to the financial services sector, along with career advancement and mentorship opportunities within a diverse and inclusive environment. The dynamic and fast-paced nature of our operations will present you with daily challenges and stimulating opportunities.
Within the Process Risk and Control Practice, we often collaborate with a client's internal audit team, chief risk officer, Sarbanes-Oxley project groups, and various management members responsible for risk management. Our consultants assist clients in identifying and prioritizing risks while utilizing processes and controls to mitigate risk exposure.

Client Engagement
- Acquire knowledge about the industries and clients we serve in the middle market and utilize this understanding to become a trusted advisor to your clients.
- Identify and integrate current and relevant financial services industry insights into client service.
- Independently implement and mentor others on foundational industry policies, procedures, and work programs.
- Manage process-level client relationships and collaborate with external stakeholders.
- Lead risk assessment interviews and the development of internal audit plans.
- Draft test plans or work programs for review by senior team members.
- Create or review narratives or flowcharts for processes.
- Identify and assess all risks and controls for processes as necessary.
- Review staff work for accuracy, completeness, and sound conclusions.
- Oversee budgets and provide precise analysis of completion estimates to engagement leaders.
- Prepare drafts of deliverables.
- Master and accurately apply IIA Professional Standards, Internal Methodology, and relevant industry-specific guidelines (as applicable).
- Support multiple client projects concurrently while actively contributing to other firm initiatives.

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the financial services industry in audit, internal audit, or related internal control roles.
- Proficiency in professional writing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools.
- Relevant job certification (e.g., CPA, CIA).
- Willingness to travel to meet client needs and collaborate with others both in-person and remotely.
- Openness to flexible work arrangements, agility, and a remote work environment utilizing new tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
- Established experience across multiple industries or subject-matter expertise in a specific industry.
