Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Management Leader to join our team as the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Financial Crimes Risk Management, Model Management. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in risk management, model development, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Risk Management Frameworks
    • Design, develop, and maintain risk management frameworks for financial crimes risk management, including model design, development, maintenance, monitoring, and testing.
    • Ensure that risk management frameworks meet TD's risk management standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Model Development and Maintenance
    • Develop and maintain advanced models for financial crimes risk management, including model design, optimization, monitoring, testing, and documentation.
    • Own the model management framework, quantitative and qualitative testing, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including risk management, model validation, and governance teams, to develop and maintain consistent risk management strategies and solutions.
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry experts, to stay up-to-date on risk management best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a Team of Risk Management Professionals
    • Manage a team of risk management professionals and data scientists to develop a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for risk management.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure that risk management frameworks and models are developed and maintained in accordance with TD's risk management standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Undergraduate degree required.
    • 15+ years of relevant risk management and model development experience, including experience in a risk management function.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Extensive knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
    • Deep understanding of financial crimes risk management and model development.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
