Role Summary:

The Branch Operations Supervisor is accountable for the comprehensive performance of the business unit, ensuring the achievement of critical corporate objectives. This role oversees daily operations and drives sales growth by nurturing existing customer relationships and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and that all staff adhere to safe working practices.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, ensuring effective succession planning.
  • Foster a positive work environment that aligns with the company's values and best practices.
  • Oversee daily branch operations to guarantee efficient and accurate task execution.
  • Drive sales revenue through proactive engagement with customers.
  • Analyze financial statements and budgets, addressing any concerns to meet planned targets while optimizing productivity and costs.
  • Manage relationships with current customers and actively seek new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate product ordering and inventory management to maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Offer product knowledge and solutions to both customers and staff as required.
  • Ensure the maintenance of branch property and equipment, keeping everything in good working order.
  • Collaborate with vendors for service needs, including delivery and maintenance services.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Regularly liaise with various stakeholders, including the Regional Manager and internal departments.
  • Participate in the company's bidding processes, analyzing outcomes to improve future efforts.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding pricing and deliveries, ensuring effective resolution of issues.
  • Manage employee scheduling, recruitment, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree and/or over 5 years of progressive experience in operations management, business accounting, marketing, or sales.
  • Knowledge of the energy distribution industry is preferred.
  • Strong emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable using technology, including the MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work after hours as necessary to support business needs.
