Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless restaurant operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a diverse team of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide high-quality service and products to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
    • Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
    • Address guest complaints promptly and professionally, turning negative situations into positive ones.
  • Restaurant Operations:
    • Ensure the restaurant meets critical standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, escalating issues as needed.
    • Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and handle cash transactions responsibly.
    • Ensure adherence to standards for product preparation and equipment operation, both personally and by team members.
    • Maintain inventory levels by restocking and reordering supplies as needed.
    • Complete required shift documentation, including purchase orders and scheduling adjustments.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage the shift by ensuring the team has all the tools they need to succeed.
    • Promote a respectful team environment and manage team members with open communication and understanding.
    • Assign duties, delegate work, and provide ongoing direction and training.
    • Effectively communicate with and support the Restaurant Owner, Restaurant Manager, and/or Assistant Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of previous experience in the food service industry.
  • Legal working age and eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 22 kg and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
