Role Summary:
The Branch Manager position is accountable for the comprehensive performance of the business unit, which encompasses achieving key corporate objectives and targets. This role oversees daily operations and drives sales revenue by nurturing existing customer relationships and engaging potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations, ensuring all team members adhere to work hours and safe practices.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for the team, ensuring effective succession planning.
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with company values, policies, and best practices.
- Oversee daily branch operations to guarantee all tasks are executed efficiently and correctly.
- Drive sales revenue generation.
- Analyze financial statements and budgets, addressing concerns to meet planned targets. Evaluate branch finances and operations to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage relationships with current customers and proactively reach out to potential clients.
- Coordinate product ordering for the branch when inventory is low and manage stock levels to ensure timely replenishment. Supervise the monthly inventory process to maintain accurate product balances.
- Provide product knowledge and solutions to customers and staff as necessary.
- Ensure the maintenance of branch property and equipment, confirming everything is accounted for and operational.
- Coordinate service requirements with vendors, including delivery, janitorial services, rentals, and maintenance.
- Maintain an updated understanding of relevant handbooks associated with the business.
- Regularly liaise with various stakeholders, including the Regional Manager, other branches, and internal departments.
- Participate in the company’s bidding processes by collaborating through various channels to create and finalize proposals; assess the success of these processes and utilize similar methods to establish accounts.
- Address customer inquiries regarding pricing and deliveries by reviewing relevant details and listening to complaints, ensuring discussions remain calm and constructive; develop solutions that meet customer needs to sustain business relationships.
- Assign, review, coordinate, and schedule employee tasks, including managing leaves and vacations; conduct interviews for prospective employees, recommend candidates, and make hiring decisions; implement disciplinary actions and conduct performance evaluations; establish work priorities and determine staffing needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or over 5 years of progressive experience in operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales.
- Desirable industry knowledge related to energy distribution.
- Strong emphasis on customer service.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Safety-oriented mindset.
- Proficient with technology, including MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to work after hours as needed to support business operations.
