Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Whitewater Ski Resort. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the entire day lodge, including Skier Services, IGS building, Hummingbird lodge, Mountain Ops, and Glory Lodge, according to a weekly schedule.
  • Follow a checklist of nightly tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, garbage and recycling, washing floors, cleaning washrooms, spot cleaning windows, re-stocking Kleenex dispensers/toilet paper/paper-towel/hand sanitizer stations, and washing tables.
  • Ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently, while minimizing disruptions to guests and staff.
  • Implement risk management procedures as per Whitewater Ski Resort's policies.
  • Securely lock up lodges and set alarms as necessary.
  • Communicate with night groomers via radio.
  • Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.
  • Promote Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing and amending relevant documents.
  • Work to achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support organizational goals.
  • Embody and promote Whitewater's mission statement and values.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Mature, reliable, and dependable individual.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Reliable vehicle, preferably 4x4.
  • Ability to work evening shifts, until 10-11pm.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Organized and self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
