JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Facility Maintenance Attendant, you are essential in ensuring a pristine and secure environment for both guests and staff. Your responsibilities commence once the facilities close for the day, continuing until all guests and personnel have vacated the premises. Your efforts guarantee that the facilities are spotless and prepared for the next day’s visitors.

This position requires working beyond standard hours, thus possessing a reliable 4X4 vehicle is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thorough cleaning of the entire day lodge each night, along with other buildings and lodges as per the weekly cleaning schedule. This includes areas such as Skier Services, IGS building, Hummingbird lodge, Mountain Ops, and Glory Lodge.
  • Adhere to a checklist of nightly duties, which encompasses vacuuming, sweeping, waste disposal, floor washing, restroom sanitation, window spot cleaning, restocking hygiene supplies, and table cleaning.
  • Ensure tasks are completed safely while guests or staff are present, such as delaying table setups until all guests have exited or cordoning off areas to maintain safety.
  • Implement all risk management protocols as outlined by Whitewater Ski Resort.
  • Secure and lock up lodges, activating alarms if applicable.
  • Conduct radio checks with night grooming teams.
  • Promote sustainable practices in daily operations and planning.
  • Support Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing and updating necessary documents, including Department Manuals and Employee Handbooks.
  • Work towards achieving departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Embrace and uphold Whitewater's mission statement and core values.
  • Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Mature, reliable, and dependable.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle, preferably 4x4.
  • Ability to work evening shifts, typically until 10-11 PM.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
