JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Facility Maintenance Attendant, you play an essential role in ensuring a pristine and secure environment for both guests and staff. Your responsibilities commence once the facilities close for the day and continue after all guests and personnel have vacated the premises. Your efforts guarantee that the facilities are spotless and prepared for guests the following day.

This position requires working beyond standard operational hours, thus possessing a reliable 4X4 vehicle is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thorough cleaning of the entire day lodge each night, along with other buildings and lodges according to a weekly schedule. Additional areas include Skier Services, IGS building, Hummingbird lodge, Mountain Ops, and Glory Lodge.
  • Adhere to a checklist of nightly tasks that encompasses vacuuming, sweeping, waste disposal and recycling, mopping floors, sanitizing restrooms, spot cleaning windows, restocking supplies such as tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer, as well as cleaning tables.
  • Ensure tasks are performed safely while guests or other staff are present in the lodge, such as delaying table setups until all guests have exited or cordoning off areas to prevent access to unsafe conditions.
  • Implement all risk management protocols as mandated by Whitewater Ski Resort.
  • Securely lock up lodges and activate alarms if applicable.
  • Conduct radio checks with night groomers.
  • Advocate for sustainable practices in daily operations, planning, and development.
  • Promote Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing and updating relevant documents including Department Manuals and Employee Handbook.
  • Work towards achieving departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support organizational objectives.
  • Embrace and uphold Whitewater's mission statement and core values.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Mature, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Dependable vehicle, preferably 4x4.
  • Availability to work evening shifts, until 10-11pm.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Capability to lift up to 50lbs.
