JOB SUMMARY:

As a Facility Maintenance Attendant, you play an essential role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff. Your responsibilities commence once the facilities close for the day and continue after all guests and personnel have vacated the premises. Your efforts guarantee that the facilities are spotless and prepared for the next day’s visitors.

This position requires working beyond standard hours, thus possessing a reliable 4X4 vehicle is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thorough cleaning of the entire day lodge each night, along with other buildings and lodges according to a predetermined weekly schedule. This includes areas such as Skier Services, IGS building, Hummingbird lodge, Mountain Ops, and Glory Lodge.
  • Adhere to a checklist of nightly tasks, which encompasses vacuuming, sweeping, managing waste and recycling, mopping floors, sanitizing restrooms, spot cleaning windows, restocking supplies, and cleaning tables.
  • Complete tasks safely while ensuring that guests or other staff are not present in the lodge, such as waiting to set up tables until all guests have exited or cordoning off areas to prevent access to potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Implement all risk management protocols as mandated by Whitewater Ski Resort.
  • Secure and lock up lodges, activating alarms if applicable.
  • Conduct radio checks with night grooming teams.
  • Advocate for sustainable practices in daily operations and planning.
  • Support Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing and updating relevant documentation, including Department Manuals and Employee Handbooks.
  • Work towards achieving departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help meet organizational objectives.
  • Embrace and promote Whitewater's mission statement and core values.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Dependable, mature, and trustworthy.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Reliable transportation, preferably a 4x4 vehicle.
  • Ability to work evening shifts, typically until 10-11 PM.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Highly organized and self-driven.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
