International Talent Acquisition Specialist

J.D. Irving, Limited is a leading organization in the transportation sector, focusing on cross-border logistics between the United States and Canada, as well as domestic Canadian freight services. We pride ourselves on our dedicated teams, both in the office and on the road, delivering innovative solutions in trucking and logistics.

We are currently in search of a driven individual to take on the role of International Talent Acquisition Specialist, located in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in comprehensive international recruitment is essential.
  2. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for conducting meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Strong organizational capabilities showcasing meticulous attention to detail.
  4. Outstanding time management and prioritization skills, enabling the management of multiple candidates while adapting to changing priorities.
  5. A genuine passion for recruitment with a proven track record in identifying high-caliber talent.
  6. A completed undergraduate degree is required.
  7. Fluency in English is mandatory for this position.
  8. Proficiency in French and/or other languages is considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all recruitment processes for owner operators and company drivers.
  2. Ensure all candidates meet the specified qualifications and standards.
  3. Monitor key performance indicators for recruitment activities on a weekly basis.
  4. Collaborate with operations to maintain current hiring forecasts.
  5. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet staffing forecasts.
  6. Establish referral networks and candidate pools through personal connections, social media, and external networking opportunities.
  7. Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new employees.
  8. Conduct industry benchmarking to stay competitive.
