Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Saint John, NB. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer policies, procedures, and programs to promote positive employee relations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit, screen, and assess candidates to select the most qualified individuals for our team.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Plan and deliver employee engagement programs and events to foster a positive work environment.
  • Assist in learning administration, including course selection and annual learning plan development.
  • Consult on performance management, ensuring proper documentation and handling termination employment matters.
  • Manage employee disability and worker's compensation claims.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HRIS data.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (undergraduate degree with concentration in HR or undergraduate degree with post-grad HR specialization).
  • Experience in Human Resources and/or a CHRP designation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and excellent judgment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
