About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Irving Oil. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in shaping our talent strategy and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with leaders and internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted partner in talent management initiatives.
  • Succession Planning: Support the development and implementation of succession planning across the organization to identify and develop the next generation of talent in the organization.
  • Talent Pipelining: Design and support strategies to build strong pipelines of talent across the organization to support the organization's evolving needs.
  • Performance Management: Execute performance management processes, aligned with company goals to enable leaders to effectively manage performance, equipping leaders with the tools and insights to facilitate constructive feedback and performance discussions.
  • Talent Management Strategy: Drive an integrated talent management strategy across the business for an exceptional employee experience that drives engagement and retention.
  • Workforce Planning: Facilitate the strategic workforce planning process, developing actionable plans that align with our business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with HR Directors & Partners across the business to ensure the meaningful implementation of talent management programming, and apply strong leadership and collaboration to drive a One Company approach to our strategy.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in Human Resources.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree or certificate in the field of Human Resources.
  • Skills: Ability to effectively build relationships with and influence people within the organization in support of strategic goals, ability to maintain a holistic view to talent management processes and tools to drive strategic decision-making, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
