About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Consultant to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting our national Claims team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with a focus on talent management, performance management, and employee relations. You will be responsible for providing coaching, guidance, and advice to managers and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and company values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Conduct investigations, aid managers in conflict management, and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Search and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to HR-related issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Make salary recommendations based on compensation best practices.
  • Participate in the deployment of business unit initiatives and corporate programs.
  • Provide HR support to the HR Claims teams for Corporate & Atlantic Claims.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • University degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management.
  • Three (3) years of experience in human resources or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Rigor, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures, including talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
  • CHRP and/or CHRL designation preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
