Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit leadership by upholding the highest professional and ethical standards in all procurement activities, ensuring transparency and adherence to organizational policies.
  • Oversee the request for proposal (RFP) process, including planning, preparation, and management of RFP documentation, while supporting internal stakeholders in developing Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of commercial proposals, manage technical evaluations, and negotiate terms on behalf of the organization.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, negotiation, and implementation of purchase orders for significant acquisitions and services.
  • Assess business risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Present alternative solutions to address and resolve issues impacting stakeholders.
  • Manage and finalize contracts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of complex procurement and tendering processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and diligence in all tasks.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with advanced knowledge of contracts lifecycle management.
  • Experience in mining or industrial construction is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with union environments is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • A diploma or a bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sourcing, bid evaluation, negotiation, and execution of various purchase agreements, preferably within the mining sector.
  • SCMP designation or equivalent is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
