Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit leadership by upholding the highest professional and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Oversee the request for proposal (RFP) process, including planning, document preparation, and management of RFPs.
  • Support internal stakeholders in developing Statements of Work (SOW) and analyze commercial proposals.
  • Lead technical evaluations and negotiate commercial and legal terms on behalf of the organization.
  • Recommend contract awards based on overall value and manage contract execution.
  • Evaluate business risks and propose strategies to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Provide solutions to address current or anticipated issues affecting stakeholders.
  • Manage and finalize contracts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of complex procurement and tendering processes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience in mining or industrial construction environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with unionized work environments is a plus.

Education

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sourcing, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution, preferably within the mining sector.
  • SCMP designation or equivalent is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
