Lead Supply Chain Strategist

Annual Salary: $65-85k based on experience

COBS Bread is in search of a meticulous, team-oriented, and proactive Lead Supply Chain Strategist to enhance our Supply Chain team. This role is pivotal in driving supply chain initiatives across all COBS Canadian bakeries.

Your expertise will be crucial in the ongoing enhancement of our supply chain functions. You will spearhead the implementation of innovative processes and data analytics, boosting the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. Moreover, you will oversee the acquisition of premium ingredients and equipment, ensuring our bakeries are well-equipped to produce exceptional products for our clientele. Your efforts will play a vital role in our mission to deliver joy through our baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revamp and optimize our reporting systems, converting raw data into engaging dashboards and scorecards that reflect our distribution and supplier performance.
  • Lead automation initiatives within our supply chain management, enhancing project workflows for maximum productivity.
  • Implement and manage advanced contract utilization frameworks, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and pricing evaluations, delivering actionable insights.
  • Develop and standardize procurement tools and templates, streamlining processes for optimal effectiveness.
  • Source and secure top-quality ingredients, packaging, and equipment.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, performing regular supplier assessments to uphold our standards.
  • Maintain consistent communication with franchisees, keeping them informed and engaged with supply chain developments.
  • Address bakery feedback proactively, serving as a liaison to elevate franchisee concerns and enhance supplier collaboration.
  • Adapt to a diverse range of responsibilities as required to support our growth and success.

Qualifications:

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, or procurement.
  • Bachelor's degree or certifications in business, logistics, operations, procurement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional designation is advantageous.
  • Experience in the food service industry, franchise, or retail business environment is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with business analytics tools and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated success in improving business processes and procedures.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and efficiently to meet essential deadlines.
