Position Overview
As the Director of Sea Logistics Development for Asia Pacific, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organization's strategic initiatives within the Asia Pacific trade sector. This leadership position is crucial for aligning our operational goals with the broader objectives of Kuehne+Nagel across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with:

  • Leading the formulation and execution of the sales strategy for the Asia Pacific trade.
  • Driving the overall trade strategy to meet and exceed growth objectives.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities through comprehensive industry insights.
  • Supporting sales teams in crafting tailored solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of impactful client presentations.
  • Providing regular market updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with international offices to foster growth.
  • Managing travel requirements for both domestic and international engagements.
  • Performing additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a sea logistics environment.
  • A solid foundation in sea freight sales, operations, pricing, and trade lane expertise.
  • A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is advantageous.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities, particularly in high-stakes interactions.
  • Strong presentation and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead effectively.
  • Proficiency in dispute resolution.
