We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Océan. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth dispatch of port tugs and the coordination of ship escorts on the St. Lawrence River.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process escort requests from vessels in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate the assignment of captains or pilot boats to vessels requesting escort services, taking into account other operational requirements.
  • Respond to calls from captains to resolve any issues that may arise and notify the Port Director as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of dispatch activities and ensure the proper coordination of requests.
  • Monitor marine activities on the St. Lawrence River and stay informed about the movements of Ocean Group captains and ongoing escort operations.
  • Perform various support tasks for other departments, such as ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in and support the activities of our Health, Safety, and Environment Management System.

Requirements:

  • Degree in transport logistics or a related field.
  • Experience in the maritime industry, preferably in a logistics or operations role.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in transportation logistics.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
  • Advanced proficiency in French and intermediate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
