Position Overview

BMO Financial Group is seeking a **Senior Manager of Learning** to spearhead the tactical execution of Cloud learning initiatives while shaping a long-term strategic approach to enhance our Talent strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assess organizational needs and implement effective learning and performance-driven programs aligned with the business strategy.
  • Design, promote, and manage designated learning programs, conducting regular evaluations to analyze outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, providing insights to senior leadership on business decisions and new initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to influence business objectives and identify emerging trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, considering industry trends and recommending necessary enhancements.
  • Develop measurable strategies for program sustainability, addressing specific risks and prioritizing opportunities.
  • Create business cases by identifying needs, analyzing options, and assessing potential returns on investment.
  • Define and recommend business priorities, resource requirements, and a roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Conduct independent analyses to resolve strategic challenges and inform stakeholders.
  • Establish business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor program performance, addressing issues proactively and producing regular reports and dashboards.
  • Lead the development of communication strategies to positively influence behavior across the organization.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring performance metrics are met and service costs remain within budget.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives, tracking metrics and milestones to ensure success.
  • Continuously monitor industry developments, updating programs to maintain competitiveness and effectiveness.
  • Apply expertise to address complex situations and implement changes in response to evolving trends.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in learning design and facilitation.
  • Strong program management skills with a focus on execution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
