Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Strategy and Architecture Lead to join our team at the Ministry of the Solicitor General. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cloud strategy, designing cloud applications, and leading cultural change required to coordinate and facilitate cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cloud strategy and architecture for large-scale, complex projects
  • Design and develop cloud applications and solutions
  • Lead cultural change and coordinate cloud adoption across the organization
  • Manage the planning, design, delivery, and implementation of architecture solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to the development and building of custom DevOps solutions
  • Develop proposals and provide advice on system options, risk, impact, and costs/benefits
  • Lead and conduct technical research projects on current and emerging technological trends
  • Provide technical functional leadership, expertise, mentorship, and direction to less senior team members
Requirements:
  • Extensive skills and understanding of end-to-end cloud native solutions
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, database architectures, data modeling, and data migrations
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS, GIT source control management, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Azure Pipelines
  • Knowledge of network protocols, n-tier network topology, cloud infrastructure, logging, and monitoring tools
  • Ability to lead teams in application development, including architecture, security, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and cloud administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Working Conditions:

The position may require shifts, on-call, standby, and occasional call-back to provide technical support to ministry critical systems on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week basis.
