We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Strategy Lead to join our team at the Ministry of the Solicitor General. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cloud strategy to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
- Design and develop cloud applications to meet business needs
- Lead cultural change required to coordinate and facilitate cloud adoption
- Manage the planning, design, delivery, and implementation of architecture solutions for large-scale, strategic, and complex multi-year IT projects
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to the development and building of custom DevOps solutions and solutions to support end users, project teams, and technical staff
- Develop proposals, lead consultations with business areas, and provide advice on system options, risk, impact, and costs/benefits
- Lead and conduct technical research projects on current and emerging technological trends, associated standards, directions, and IT administrative policies and procedures
- Provide technical functional leadership, expertise, mentorship/coaching, and direction to less senior team members
- Assist with managing post-implementation product support and oversight of best practice for support and maintenance work
- Extensive skills and understanding of end-to-end cloud native solutions, including design, development, deployment, and integration for large and complex solutions in Azure cloud
- Proficiency and expertise in database architectures, data modeling, and data migrations, preferably in MS SQL
- Experience with GIT source control management, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Azure Pipelines
- Knowledge of network protocols, n-tier network topology, cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ElasticSearch, Azure Monitor, Azure application insight, etc.
- Ability to lead teams in application development, including architecture, security, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and cloud administration
- Ability to support production systems, work with end users and technical teams to investigate and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to evaluate and recommend architectural strategies for acquiring, developing, integrating, and implementing complex technical solutions
- Assess, diagnose, and resolve issues impacting the information technology infrastructure
- Address operational problems of digital products
- Use data analytical tools (such as Python, SQLs) to analyze large volumes of data and generate various reports
- Ability to assist clients to analyze data discrepancies by navigating complex business processes
- Excellent written skills to prepare project reports, various design/development documentation
- Ability to lead/facilitate technical discussions with senior managers, vendors, customers, and other technical staff
