As a Senior Cloud Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing procurement and sourcing activities for the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP), which is one of our key strategic initiatives. This position requires close collaboration with enterprise and technology procurement partners to facilitate the achievement of program objectives. You will engage with senior leadership and vendors to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Your primary focus will be to optimize the total cost of goods and services procured under the Cloud Program.

  • Build and nurture relationships with IT leaders to align with program goals, influence stakeholders, and collaboratively develop a strategic sourcing plan for CAP.
  • Work alongside leaders to gain insights into key business drivers and spending patterns to ensure adequate support levels.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of existing contracts related to CAP and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency enhancements, and risk mitigation through effective procurement practices.
  • Contribute to the program's platform and application roadmap by considering licensing and contractual constraints while keeping program leadership informed through diligent tracking and analysis.
  • Assist in managing vendor agreements by supporting the drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and documenting various contracts and licensing agreements.
  • Monitor and report on sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with program timelines.
  • In collaboration with Procurement, establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively engage with business lines and contract owners to understand their needs and develop a comprehensive supplier contract strategy.
  • Drive a disciplined approach to influence spending and achieve cost savings across all program segments.
  • Support the consistent application of procurement processes across various groups.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader organizational knowledge.
  • Understand the Bank's risk appetite and culture, integrating these considerations into daily activities and decision-making.

Do You Have the Skills to Succeed in This Role?

  • A Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field; a Master's degree (MA or MSc) in business, engineering, CIS, science, or finance is an asset.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in sourcing and procurement.
  • Experience in global sourcing, particularly in technology services.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge gaps between sourcing, IT, and business stakeholders, focusing on contract development and negotiations.
  • Proven change leadership and conflict resolution abilities, along with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with comfort in engaging with senior leaders.
  • Ability to understand complex technical and financial issues to inform effective action plans and strategies.
  • Capacity to develop collaborative relationships with global stakeholder groups, demonstrating professionalism and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of emerging IT trends and related architecture is a plus.
