About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Scanway Catering Ltd. As a key member of our catering operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of food and beverage services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of service quality.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operational Management
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef and ensure that food and beverage orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
    • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 food and beverage servers and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client-focused and able to provide excellent customer service.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
