Food Services Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Food Services department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our food services team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the preparation and delivery of patient meals, guest meals, and catering events
- Manage staff schedules, attendance, and payroll
- Interview and hire staff as needed
- Develop and implement strategies for healthy eating and revenue generation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Food Service Technology course or equivalent required
- Graduate of a 4-year nutrition degree preferred
- Food Handlers course and WHMIS an asset
- Excellent leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Proven skills in customer service
- Superior supervision and decision-making skills
- Competencies in other languages are considered an asset
