Technical Support Specialist for IT

Position Overview:

1102 CSC Canada is looking for a proficient IT/AV Support Technician to become a vital part of our team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience in supporting sophisticated AV technologies and IT systems. Your role will encompass providing technical assistance, managing resources, collaborating on projects, and ensuring the seamless functioning of IT/AV systems during various events.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in supporting advanced AV technologies and IT infrastructure.
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing IT support related to networking.
  • Proven track record of 2 years in offering IT support across multiple platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to interact with diverse teams and clients.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and IT projects is beneficial.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT and AV technologies.
  • Experience in supporting large-scale events and managing server rooms is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily IT support operations and handle escalations.
  • Collaborate with employees and clients to ensure the availability of IT/AV infrastructure for meetings and events.
  • Support high-level meetings and events, addressing technical challenges as they arise.
  • Set up and conduct tests on audio-visual equipment for presentations and conferences.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for equipment support requirements.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events and support presenters with technical issues.
  • Manage and maintain video conferencing meeting rooms utilizing Microsoft Teams and QSC systems.
  • Assist users in scheduling and conducting virtual meetings and webinars.

Vendor Coordination & Onsite Support:

  • Initiate and oversee support cases with vendors.
  • Collaborate with vendors remotely and arrange onsite visits as necessary.

General IT Responsibilities:

  • Assist with desktop and mobile support, AV testing, software updates, and IT inventory management.
  • Document processes and procedures related to IT tasks.

Work Environment:

This role is based in our Vancouver office, requiring 100% on-site presence.
