The role of the front desk and night audit representative is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for guests during their stay. This position collaborates closely with the housekeeping team to maintain accurate room status reports and coordinates maintenance requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register guests and allocate rooms effectively.
  • Address special requests to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with pre-registration and room blocking for reservations.
  • Adhere to established credit, check-cashing, and cash handling protocols.
  • Conduct end-of-day accounting procedures.
  • Communicate room status updates to the housekeeping department, including check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and day-use rooms.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the reservations process, including same-day and future bookings, as well as cancellation policies.
  • Facilitate guest check-outs efficiently.
  • Perform cashier duties, including posting charges to guest accounts and managing currency exchanges.
  • Follow procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes for guests.
  • Utilize proper telephone etiquette in all communications.
  • Report any unusual incidents or requests to management.
  • Be knowledgeable about safety and emergency protocols, as well as accident prevention policies.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Program Overview:

  • This is a full-time, paid position offering provincial minimum wage along with gratuities and overtime.

  • The duration of this position is six months, with the possibility of continued employment.
