About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Hotel Clerk at Pinedale Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Registration and Check-In/Check-Out
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Room Reservations and Management
- Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Customer Service and Support
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including amenities and local attractions.
- Assist guests with special needs and ensure their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff.
- Financial Transactions and Reporting
- Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
- Emergency Procedures and Safety
- Follow established emergency and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an asset.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Pinedale Inn is a dynamic and growing hotel company, and this role will be based in our hotel. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
