About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Hotel Clerk at Pinedale Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-In/Check-Out
    • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Room Reservations and Management
    • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including amenities and local attractions.
    • Assist guests with special needs and ensure their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff.
  • Financial Transactions and Reporting
    • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Emergency Procedures and Safety
    • Follow established emergency and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
    • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Work Environment and Conditions

Pinedale Inn is a dynamic and growing hotel company, and this role will be based in our hotel. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
