Salary Range: $79,185 - $98,982 per annum, commensurate with experience and in line with UHN's compensation framework
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Role Summary
The Research Associate II within the Radiation Medicine Program (RMP) will be a skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in radiation oncology and scientific research. This role involves collaboration with the RMP Director of Research to further the objectives of adaptive radiation research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with a radiation oncologist to perform real-time contouring for patients undergoing adaptive radiation therapy.
  • Leverage advanced technical expertise in imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
  • Engage with RMP researchers throughout all phases of research projects with minimal oversight.
  • Design projects for collaborative initiatives and establish research objectives.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of relevant academic literature.
  • Critically evaluate manuscripts and proposals submitted by researchers.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to assigned personnel as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in Health Science or a related discipline; PhD and/or MD preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation oncology, particularly adaptive radiotherapy, is essential.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in oncology research.
  • Advanced research capabilities to execute complex procedures across all research phases.
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in scientific writing for publication.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse disciplines and varying levels of expertise.
  • Proven leadership skills in a research environment.
