Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our Radiation Medicine Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advancing adaptive radiation research priorities under the direction of the RMP Director of research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist.
  • Utilize expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
  • Work with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision.
  • Design projects for collaborative research initiatives and set research goals and objectives.
  • Prepare papers for publication and conduct regular reviews of relevant literature.
  • Critically appraise manuscripts and proposals of investigators.
  • Provide direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required.

Qualifications

  • At minimum, a Master's Degree in Health Science or a related field. A PhD and/or MD are preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, is required.
  • At minimum, 7 years of related experience in oncology research.
  • Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication.
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting.
