We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing research projects, supervising laboratory technical personnel, and contributing to the development of new research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
- Lead and manage research projects, including designing and implementing research studies, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing research papers and reports.
- Develop and implement new research initiatives, including identifying research gaps and opportunities, and developing proposals and funding applications.
- Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to advance research goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of research policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- PhD in a relevant field, such as biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a research leadership role, with a strong track record of research productivity and publication.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of researchers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
