We are currently seeking to fill the position of Environmental Engineering Technologist II . This full-time position is part of the Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) team within the Regulatory Compliance Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical tasks associated with water, wastewater, and stormwater management.
  • Implement technical functions related to the administration of customer education initiatives.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, analyses, and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to Halifax Water's regulatory standards by customers.

Qualifications Required:

  • A technical diploma in engineering sciences or a related discipline with a focus on environmental sciences, underground infrastructure management, and municipal services.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in municipal or environmental engineering.
  • Certification as an Engineering Technologist (CET) with TechNova or eligibility for membership.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The successful candidate will be required to obtain appointment as a Special Constable in accordance with the Nova Scotia Police Act.
