Your Work Environment at EXP

In this position, you will be part of our Halifax office while benefiting from our adaptable hybrid work model. We have made substantial investments in our office space to create a bright, vibrant, and technologically advanced environment that fosters collaboration among our team.

Regardless of your physical location, you will have the opportunity to collaborate seamlessly with EXP's multidisciplinary team on some of Atlantic Canada's most significant and exciting projects. Additionally, you may have the chance to contribute to unique and challenging projects beyond Atlantic Canada.

Daily Responsibilities at EXP

  • Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of building systems and detailing, with the capability to work independently in developing and coordinating contract documents and conducting document checks.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Project Manager, Engineers, Architects, and other Technical and Design Staff.
  • Produce technical drawings using Revit.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technologist.
  • Graduation from a Mechanical Engineering Technology program accredited by Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC).
  • Eligibility for membership with TechNova, the certifying body for Engineering and Applied Science Technicians and Technologists in Nova Scotia.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D for producing technical documents and construction drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural and electrical standards, building sciences, and construction technologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada, CSA, and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team to produce working drawings and 3D models of electrical designs for innovative multidisciplinary projects.
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to meeting project deadlines and working efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks across various projects simultaneously.
