Job Responsibilities

As a Radiology Technologist II at Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will be responsible for performing radiological procedures for medical diagnosis in the operating room and X-ray department. Your duties will involve:

  • Performing radiological procedures for medical diagnosis
  • Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring quality imaging
  • Liaising with medical staff and preparing patients for exams
  • Ensuring minimal radiation exposure and maintaining a safe working environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Radiological Technology
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals
  • Completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support program
  • Paediatric imaging experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competency in French is a plus
