Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, the Radiological Technologist II plays a crucial role in executing radiological examinations aimed at facilitating medical diagnoses. This position is integral to the operational efficiency of the imaging department, ensuring high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform a variety of radiological procedures in both the operating room and X-ray department as required.
2. Assess requisitions to determine the appropriate examinations, views, and equipment necessary for optimal imaging results.
3. Select techniques that yield quality images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
4. Adhere to sterile techniques when necessary and manage clerical duties related to patient care.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP).
- Successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) program within the last year.
- Experience in pediatric imaging is considered an asset.
- Ability to make independent technical decisions and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous, with a preference for French.

Work Environment:
This position involves variable shift lengths, including rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families, contributing to a safe and inclusive healthcare environment.
