YOUR MISSION:

As Talent & Culture Specialist, you will be the heartbeat behind our organization, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development and well-being. You’ll collaborate with leaders and employees to cultivate a dynamic and supportive environment where everyone can bring their best selves to work.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Culture Captain: Lead our company culture & values, ensuring everyone feels like they’re part of the crew.
2. Talent Scout: Navigate the recruitment process to find and hire top talent in the transportation sector.
3. Training Guru: Develop and deliver engaging onboarding and training programs that set our team up for success on and off the road.
4. Employee Engager: Facilitate and implement employee engagement events and activities that keep our employees engaged and having fun.
5. Compliance Commander: Ensure we’re adhering to labour laws and industry standards, keeping our wheels turning smoothly.
6. Policy Pioneer: Continuously refine our HR policies to create an exceptional employee experience.

WHO WE NEED:

1. You’ve got charisma, charm, and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone – even our office plants.
2. You can translate legislation and HR lingo into everyday speak and make it sound like a walk in the park.
3. You’re a master of making connections and can build bridges where there were none.
4. When challenges arise, you embrace them as opportunities and come up with creative solutions for resolution.
5. You understand the importance of keeping secrets – like a vault but with more personality.
6. You know your way around HR software and Microsoft Office Suite like a pro.
7. You’re passionate about our values and you’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and included.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

1. 3-5 years of making HR magic happen, ideally in a unionized and federally regulated workplace.
2. Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other field where you mastered the art of people management.
3. Familiar with the latest HR software and tools (Bamboo HR would be an asset).
4. Bonus Points for:

1. Rocking a professional designation (ex: CPHR)

2. Knowing the ins and outs of our industry
