We are seeking a skilled Program Development Coordinator to join our team
- **This contract is until March 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension.**_

**Job Duties**:

- Research and develop policies for an ethical and legal fund development program.
- Develop high quality, proposal writing to achieve timely proposals.
- Identify and research potential grant opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and international organizations.
- Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals tailored to the specific requirements of each funding opportunity.
- Create a system to manage and maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate and up to date information.
- Expand donors base by conducting prospective donor research and identifying new funding opportunities.
- Clearly articulate the organization's mission, goals, and the impact of its programs.
- Ensure that grant proposals and subsequent projects comply with the regulations and guidelines set forth by CRA, funding agencies and organizations.
- Work closely with finance and program teams to track expenditures and impact for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the management of existing grants, ensuring that reporting requirements are met, and deadlines are adhered to.
- Support cross-functional projects as needed to maximize the organization’s fundraising potential.
- Knowledge of and adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Principles.

**Qualifications**:

- CFRE certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven track record of developing successful proposals
- Exceptional writing skills and experience with a variety of formats (LOIs, concept papers, proposals, cases for support, donor reports, policies and procedures)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Deadline-oriented, with demonstrated ability to take responsibility for proposals and complete them in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and networking skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and coordinate a variety of activities concurrently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with fundraising software

**Preferred**:

- Technical expertise in the not-for-profit sector
- Experience in successful grant writing
- Experience working on shared drives such as Google Drive

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
