**About Our Opportunity**:
The Immigration Program Coordinator helps supervise a team of professionals and is responsible for overall immigration program(s) development and delivery, in accordance with immigration legislation, bilateral agreements and branch policies. They are responsible for the day-to-day team leadership and coordination of operations. They provide technical supervision and mentoring to Immigration Officers and will provide support to the Manager and Director where necessary.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Coordinating day to day program delivery, including scheduling and case file assignment
- Reporting on processing targets on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis
- Assisting with the development of briefing notes, presentations, and other program information communication
- Providing the necessary support and leadership to Immigration Officers to effectively deliver the Provincial Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Program
- Contribute to achieving the provincial allocation targets and achieve the expected results on an annual basis.
- Supervising and leading team members on program delivery to achieve high performance, within a client focused environment
- Ensuring the team adheres to prescribed processes, policies, systems, and regulations.
- Monitoring daily work activity and results, ensuring processing activities are appropriately documented and secured in a timely manner in accordance with federal regulations, provincial policies, and departmental and program guidelines.
- Establishing relationships and creating a network with the federal government as well as other provincial jurisdictions.
- Sharing best practices and approaches to delivery while creating a learning environment for all immigration officers
- Recommends adjustments to processes, policy, and frameworks to reduce the risk associated with immigration fraud

**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be successful in this position, you hold a post-secondary degree in a related discipline and six (6) years of related experience, including recent experience supervising diverse teams, meeting aggressive deadlines or targets, and day to day operations within policy and legislative frameworks. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to provide sound guidance in challenging situations are your strengths. As an experienced problem solver, you have a proven ability to make difficult decisions after careful and logical analysis of the situation, while also ensuring service standards are upheld. You have strong intercultural proficiency skills and have demonstrated experience working within an immigration setting at the federal or provincial level. You can give immigration specific instructions to others on how to carry out their job.

You possess strong communication skills in groups and one-on-one settings and are effective at prioritizing and delegating tasks. You are cooperative and collaborative, and you can communicate using a variety of printed or visual tools including Microsoft 0365.

As you liaise regularly with internal and external stakeholders to verify and provide information, taking the initiative is one of your key strengths. As a driver of change, you bring a strategic and innovative approach to the role. You make decisions based on facts, logic, and investigation. Your colleagues describe you as highly professional and diplomatic. You display a passion for our purpose with your demonstrated knowledge and/or background in field of citizenship and immigration.
