**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Manager, Transitions and Student Life, the incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of the headSTART program. This position acts as a liaison between Student Community and Engagement (SCE) and other College departments to ensure the smooth coordination of the headSTART pre-arrival program for all in-coming domestic and international students. The incumbent will also be responsible for stakeholder management by liaising with other departments that manage key onboarding and transitioning projects for student experience in the pre-orientation capacity. Collaborating with these stakeholders, the incumbent will work to ensure the project remains on schedule and has met institutional requirements.

Guided by principles of retention, engagement and student success, this position will take an active role in developing and maintaining content for the headSTART portal and sending a weekly headSTART newsletter. The incumbent will also coordinate the process of collecting, editing and preparing content from academic and service departments to make sure it is up-to-date and relevant. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the headSTART communications strategy, including updating content, uploading new students into the platform, promotional activities, coordinating with IT Services to schedule webinars, and tracking/interpreting analytics that will be used to evaluate the program’s ability to support student success.

With a strong foundation in place, the headSTART program is entering into the final phase of transformation which will include the development of a new and more engaging platform to host the system. The incumbent will play a vital role in bringing this new phase to life. Finally, the incumbent will provide the Manager, Transitions and Student Life with monthly metrics and analysis reports on the headSTART program to inform decisions on communication strategies, webinar offerings, and student engagement strategies

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinating the development and expansion of the headSTART program to include new academic programs and student groups.
- Working with the SCE team to update and maintain headSTART content for students on the portal and newsletter.
- Working in partnership with the Coordinator, Student Transition Programs to schedule and promote personal, professional, and academic success workshops.
- Collaborating with Academic and Service areas to maintain and update content for three headSTART cycles per academic year (Fall, Winter, Summer intake).
- Acting as the liaison between SCE and other academic and service areas of the College.
- Providing routine status reports to stakeholders.
- Liaising with the SCE, SES and College Marketing and Communications teams to promote all programs and activities that fall under the headSTART umbrella.
- Collaborating with IT to ensure changes and updates are executed in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with service areas such as Career Services, CALCS, Learning Centre, etc. to promote relevant just-in-time workshops and services through pre-arrival preparation tools and transition webinars.
- Developing and maintaining a project plan to ensure all aspects of the program are properly executed.
- Contributing to and implementing the headSTART communications plan.
- Identifying and leveraging technology tools to enhance the user experience.
- Identifying performance measures of the project and establishing regular review process to assessment and evaluation.
- Analyzing metrics derived from in-house tools and reports on existing trends and patterns.
- Researching up-to-date modes of delivering strategic messages to target audiences and leveraging use of trends to support programming.
