**The Opportunity**
The position of **Specialist, Event Partnerships** is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, engaging and retaining corporate event sponsors to further the mission of Women's College Hospital Foundation. The incumbent must have both relationship management and fundraising event experience, be a strategic thinker and a collaborative leader, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility.

**The Role**:
**Summary**
Reporting to the Vice President, Events & Community Engagement, this position plays an integral role on the Event team, and is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, engaging and retaining corporate event sponsors to further the mission of Women's College Hospital Foundation. This role requires relationship building, strategic thinking, creativity, and marketing savvy to create and secure innovative event partnerships. With a focus on developing best-in-class sponsorship assets, the Specialist will build strategies and partnerships to meet a yearly target of $550,000 in event sponsorship revenue. A dedicated team player, the role demands superior attention to detail and organization skills, excellent communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, proactivity, a proven client service approach and a keen understanding of the role of sponsorship and cause marketing as they relate to the Foundation's overall revenue generation plan.
**Key Responsibilities including but not limited to**:
- Lead the strategy development and execution of corporate sponsorship plans for Foundation-managed events.
- Create and maintain a pipeline of prospects to meet yearly revenue targets.
- Develop compelling business proposals that secure support.
- Ensure successful negotiation of sponsorship benefits for each of the Foundation's events based on mutually agreed upon contracts and offerings.
- Act as an account manager to activate and fulfill all event related sponsor benefits, and deliver an outstanding donor experience.
- Reach a target of $500,000-$600,000 in revenue through existing and new sponsorship development
- Collaborate within the event team to identify new sponsorable assets and work to develop appropriate benefits and activation opportunities.
- Create reports, track metrics and ensure a continual line of sight to revenue projections throughout the year.
- Embrace the organizational values of respect, caring, integrity and partnership, while being authentic and accountable to yourself and your team.
- Act as main liaison for sponsors, providing activation support, developing agreed upon workback schedules and execution.
- Secure all necessary creative assets from sponsors to fulfill benefits in WCHF collateral.
- Secure all necessary approvals from sponsors on collateral or content.
- Stewardship of sponsors, including participation in thank you initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships team on strategic planning for long term sponsor retention and renewal, in alignment with wider partnership plans (multi-channel opportunities).
- Solicit companies to participate in and build Teams for the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women.
- In conjunction with the Stewardship team, provide a customized stewardship experience for sponsor companies.
- Ensure data integrity and capture of all information in RE/NXT.
- Monitor expense budgets, keeping team updated on all aspects of event and campaign costs as they relate to sponsorship.
