Inventory Control Assistant- Maternity Leave

**Job Summary**:
Join our vibrant team as an Inventory Control Assistant, where you'll be the trusty sidekick to our Inventory Control Manager, ensuring our inventory management system runs like a well-oiled machine Nestled within the lush greenery of our greenhouse, you'll work in an environment where there's always something fresh and vibrant growing, adding an extra dose of inspiration to your workday.

This position provides a unique opportunity to cover a one-year maternity leave, contributing your skills to our team during this exciting time.

You'll be an expert in data management and spreadsheet wizardry as you assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and entering product information with finesse. You'll also show off your barcode scanning skills to make sure every product is priced just right and assist the Inventory Control Manager in year-end inventory counts and compiling reports.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Control**
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory
- Assist in entering products into the inventory system and adjust as required
- Forward received purchase orders and credits to Accounts Payable through the accounting system
- Export information from POS and Accounting system
- Test barcodes and pricing on products to ensure items scan correctly
- Adjust for inventory transferred between retail and production departments, as well as for broken or spoiled, short or over shipped inventory, and close month-end inventory
- Compile inventory reports as requested by Buyers and Vendors
- Assist in the preparation of the year-end inventory count
- Assist in reconciling physical inventories with computer counts
- Assist the Manager with fixing scanning issues
- Assist in receiving inventory if required
- Read and understand acknowledgement sheets and packing slips
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years of office experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
