**Responsibilities**:
The Coordinator, Strengths Programs will manage the implementation and expansion of strengths-based programming into new and existing programs and services in the Student Experience division. The role will lead the design and implementation of programming and strategies to extend the use of strengths tools across campus. The role will ensure the necessary framework, resources, and data are available to support the expansion of strengths based programming and offer expertise regarding best practices and related, policies, and procedures. The Coordinator will collaborate on the development of communications and marketing materials aimed at enhancing awareness of strengths programming and identify opportunities for engagement with various campus stakeholders to expand/enhance programming.

**Education**:
- Undergraduate Degree
- Strengths Coaching Certification preferred
**Experience**:
- 2 years previous experience developing student programming or working with post-secondary students in an advising environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with best practices for assessing, developing and implementing new student programming
- Ability to effectively present information, and facilitate training sessions and workshops
- Verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Ability to write clear, concise and accurate materials and documentation
- Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards
- Capacity to support and demonstrate openness to persons of diverse backgrounds and beliefs
- Ability to understand customer needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service to directly and indirectly satisfy expectations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development with a desire to take on new challenges
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University’s events and activities
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Interpersonal skills to liaise with prospective and current students, staff, faculty and other members of the Western community
- Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes; familiarity with large scale events an asset
- Proven ability and natural inclination to develop relationships by interacting with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
