**About Us**:
The Department of Family Medicine specializes in training comprehensive family physicians and future leaders in family medicine. This is done through a highly adaptable program that includes tailor-made curriculum and educational programs for residents. The Family Medicine Postgraduate Program is one of the largest programs at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, consisting of over 160 residents conducting their core residency training at 12 different sites across southwestern Ontario and 20 Residents training in the Enhanced Skills Program. This is supported by over 350 full
- and part-time faculty and an administrative staff of 6 individuals.

**Responsibilities**:
The Program Coordinator supports the effective and efficient administration of various aspects of the Family Medicine Residency Program, ensuring adherence to program standards. The role works closely with the Postgraduate Program Director as well as the Manager and Postgraduate team to enhance coordination for the finance and evaluation activities in Family Medicine. The role serves as a point of contact for residents and various internal and external stakeholders and provides information regarding programs, events and academic processes, and provides guidance regarding Program, School, University, and external regulatory body procedures in response to inquiries.

The Program Coordinator collaborates with Family Medicine physicians, hospital staff, residents, and other individuals relevant to the residency program, in order to meet the program’s training requirements. The role administers the competency-based curriculum through evaluation systems, and works with program leadership to ensure assessment milestones for residents are tracked according to the evaluation objectives in Family Medicine, including ensuring well-defined rotation outcomes and resident assessment methodologies and systems. The role processes various financial transactions and reconciliations, contributes to ongoing refinement of program processes and procedures, creates and distributes various complex schedules using specialized software, creates, maintains and updates specialized databases, generates data and reports for review, coordinates logistics for graduate ceremonies and half day events, and maintains and updates program websites.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- 3 year University Degree in Business Management/Administration

**Experience**:

- 5 years’ experience providing financial and administrative support and customer service in a medical education environment
- Experience coordinating logistics of specialized programs/services/events
- Experience in a hospital setting would be an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to ensure expenditures and resources are within allotments, and to make appropriate modifications as required
