**Payroll Coordinator**
**Job Summary**:
Aquatech, a leader in providing specialized dewatering and pumping solutions is currently looking for a **Payroll Coordinator** to join our growing team You will be responsible for accurately processing all payroll activities for our union and non-union employees primarily in Ontario and across Canada. This includes ensuring that all payroll related activities, including government and WSIB remittances are administered within the required federal and provincial deadlines. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Accurately administer weekly payroll functions for hourly (union and non-union) and salary employees including the preparation, calculation and disbursement of wages, deductions, overtime payments, expenses, and garnishments.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure the integrity of employee records by collecting and verifying payroll-related information, including employee information, taxable benefits, vacation entitlement, etc..
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Field Operations to ensure integrity of employee timesheet hours are collected and uploaded to the payroll system.
- Process and administer group plan benefits as well as DPSP/RRSP matching program.
- Process related payroll and union remittances (including WSIB) within required deadlines.
- Create and submit ROEs as required.
- Prepare standard year-end documentation (T4s, T2200s etc..) and associated reporting.
- Assist as needed in payroll audits.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employees and government agencies for any payroll related inquiries.
- Organize and maintain payroll files and records.
**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma/Certificate in Bookkeeping/Accounting or Payroll a requirement.
- PCP certification or certification in progress a requirement.
- Experience in construction an asset.
- Experience with accounting software programs, specifically Jonas an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) an asset.
- Ability to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional overtime only when needed.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
