**Manager of Strategy, HRIS & Projects**

**Background**:
This position is a Human Resources leadership position within the Human Resources department. This role will lead the execution of and provide input into the 5-year HR Strategic Plan and annual HR Business Plan. They will ensure the execution of people strategies and projects that contribute to our competitive position and maximizes employee engagement that effectively enables attraction and retention of talent.

**Accountabilities**:

- Lead HR best practices research and benchmarking (externally and within other ArcelorMittal entities.)
- Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of HR service delivery and lead improvements required.
- Lead the execution of and provide input into the development of the HR Business Plan and 5-year strategy roadmap. Audit and develop recovery strategies on the business plan if not meeting the timeline.
- Lead the development, ongoing management and reporting of key HR strategic performance indicators and ensure performance expectations are met or exceeded as defined by scorecard metrics and ensure appropriate performance recovery is achieved.
- Consult and provide an organization effectiveness perspective to senior management on cultural issues and activity.
- Lead the execution of and provide input into the HR Technology roadmap and deliver the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) technology systems, to ensure optimal efficiency; implement and govern standards and controls to achieve efficiency, data quality and consistency. Ensure alignment to the overall HR strategic direction and the overall integrated Hire to Retire process.
- Lead the reporting and PowerBI systems for data analytics in Human Resources.
- Lead HR continuous improvement initiatives as part of it’s strategic direction.
- Identify improvement opportunities and build a process and technology roadmap plan linked to HR’s strategic direction and KPIs.
- Lead the strategy and execution of employee surveys to assess employee engagement or employee ownership levels. Lead action planning in response to survey gaps, improving the employee experience and overall culture of the organization.
- Support initiatives impacting multiple business units in support of continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the HRIS, HR Projects and HR administration teams

**Education & Experience**:

- Minimum 4-year University in Commerce, Business, Human Resources with 7+ years of job-related experience is required.
- Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRL) is an asset.
- Professional Change Management certification is an asset.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Advanced knowledge of HR processes, trends, best practices and policies is required.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems is required.
- General understanding of manufacturing industry, corporate business practices, principles, financial processes and competitive issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills are required.
- Excellent conflict resolution, facilitation, negotiation and mediation skills are required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills are required.
- Very good organization and time-management skills are required.

**Hours of Work**:

- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
- Flexibility to determine workday start and end times, to fit personal needs.

**Work Environment**:

- Office environment requiring mínimal time in plant. Required to wear personal protective equipment.
