Are you a dynamic HR professional with a passion for providing top-notch support and making a lasting impact on organizational development? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to join our OD&PP unit as an **HR Coordinator**.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Guidance Guru**: Act as the go-to resource for resolving HR workflow issues, supporting term extensions, term to permanent conversions, and documenting HR policies and procedures, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
- **Orientation Organizer**: Take the lead in planning, coordinating, and enhancing our quarterly new employee orientation - be the welcoming face that sets the tone for their exciting journey with us
- **Tech-Savvy Support**: Assist the Talent Acquisitions Advisor with recruitment tasks, from inputting unposted terms into our Applicant Tracking System to flexing your creativity in social media postings, assisting with the creation of screening charts, and updating interview guides during high-staffing periods.
- **Recruitment Networking Pro**: Join forces with the TAA and HR Assistants to represent our university at Career Fairs and other recruitment events, creating meaningful connections with potential talent.
- **Training Liaison**: Be the bridge between HR and CCE for training offerings, managing enrollments, sending campus-wide communications, and ensuring a smooth learning experience for our employees.
- **Process Perfectionist**: Develop and maintain written standard work processes for various OD&PP functions, contributing to a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
- **Compliance Champion**: Stay up-to-date with collective agreements, payroll schedules, benefits plans, and employment laws, ensuring our practices align with federal and provincial regulations.

Position Requirements

**What You Will Bring to the Position**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; and
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in HR advising, preferably in a large organization.
- Professional certification or working towards a professional designation (CPHR) preferred.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Experience working in an HR role in a unionized workplace is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with HR team and university clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to identify issues, analyze root causes and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office in order to gather and report data and document processes.
- Attention to detail in order maintain records and ensure compliance with CBA language/SEA regulations.
- Adaptability and the ability to change priorities, processes and focus as client and team needs shift

Physical Demands Pay Grade OOS 4 Salary Range $59,938 - $89,905 annually Status Permanent Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:15 - 4:30
