Our Veterinary Receptionist’s primary duties are interacting with clients as well as coordinating communication between them and our team to provide consistent, compassionate, excellent customer and patient service.

Qualified individuals must possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a compassionate and positive attitude, follow-through as well as excellent multi-tasking, communication and teamwork skills Veterinary Reception is a vital role in the function of our fast-paced hospital with essential duties that keep our doctor’s day flowing, our clients informed, and most importantly their furry family members cared for You bring the passion and we provide the training

Essential duties and responsibilities required of the position include:

- Being attentive to client and patient needs
- Interacting patiently and compassionately with clients to:
− Answer and triage calls on a multi-line phone system

− Schedule appointments and procedures

− Check-in and admit patients

− Process payment and deposits for services, products and/or prescriptions

− Follow-up on procedures and services

− Educate about our products and services
- Managing record requests from other hospitals and specialty practices
- Maintaining proper & confidential documentation in an electronic medical record
- Relaying appropriate information to/from clients to appropriate team members
- Maintaining a neat and organized work space

What you bring to the position:

- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to lift 30-50lbs safely
- A love for all things cute and cuddly
- Knowledge of the veterinary industry and experience with Cornerstone is an asset, but is not required

Our receptionists work on a general rotational basis consisting of 14-15, eight to twelve hour shifts per month, including some weekends and stat holidays. Yes, you will enjoy approximately 15 days off per month Reception staff are not scheduled past 12AM or for any overnight shifts.
