The MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions (MAP) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified applicant for the position of Research Coordinator III. The Research Coordinator will have training in program evaluation and will work under the supervision of principal investigator Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi on an evaluation of integrated health services for people experiencing homelessness. The goal of this evaluation is to generate evidence that advances program and policies that improve the health of people experiencing marginalization.

The position is located within MAP, a world-leading centre that focuses on complex urban health issues and is for 9 months. The successful applicant will have expertise in qualitative coding and thematic analysis, a strong background in community-based research, experiences working with people who use drugs, and a firm understanding of harm reduction and related concepts and theories. A demonstrated interest in health equity is required. The ability to contribute to a mixed-methods research team is an asset.

The role of the Research Coordinator III is to lead the execution of project design, the day-to-day management of research activities and the implementation of projects involving quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The Coordinator will support communications, project management, data collection, recruitment, consent, interviewing, and administering study instruments. The Research Coordinator III is responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of study records, including quality assurance and integrity of study data, and monitoring financial processes, including payments, invoicing, and processing of honoraria. The Research Coordinator III is responsible for assisting with data analyses, liaising with community partners, and coordinating a project steering committee.

**Research Duties**
- Develops, implements, and refines research protocols, processes, and documentation.
- Coordination day-to-day project study activities, including management and oversight of resources, deliverables, and study tasks.
- Ensures honoraria are paid out accurately, on time, and in accordance with UHT policies and procedures.
- Quantitative and qualitative data collection, including designing interview guides, conducting interviews and surveys, cleaning of data, and coding of data.
- Leads the study team in data analysis.
- Supports, and mentors other team members and students.
- Prepares public-facing presentations, and reports in consultation with multiple study partners, written in plain language and with accessible formats.
- Leads presentation scientific presentations, including abstracts, poster and slide presentations, and manuscripts.
- Leads knowledge translation activities with diverse audiences, including community members, policy makers, and others.

**Day to Day Project and Staff Guidance Tasks**
- Leads the execution of the project.
- Ensures conflicts are resolved appropriately and professionally.
- Maintains project budget and dispersal of honorariums, as needed.
- Fosters positive and sustainable partnerships with study partners.

**Administrative Duties**
- Leads meetings with the study team and study partners.
- Creates a communication plan.
- Leads knowledge translation activities.
- Ensures study data are maintained, collected, transcribed, and stored in accordance with hospital and privacy regulations.

**Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills**
- Master¿s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related discipline with several years of relevant experience (3 or more is preferred) OR demonstratable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience.
- Qualitative research experience.
- Project coordination experience.
- Understanding of systemic power structures and their effect on individual and public health.
- Experience with plain language writing.
- Experience developing, translating, and disseminating knowledge to diverse audiences.
- Experience developing and facilitating community meetings and learning opportunities.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office experience (Word, Powerpoint, and particularly Excel),.
- Experience with reference manager software (i.e. EndNote, Mendeley, etc.).
- Facility with survey software (Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, REDCap Nvivo).
- Expertise with qualitative analysis software (e.g. Dedoose, NVIVO).
