OurCare is a national initiative that aims to engage the public on the future of primary care in Canada. Researchers at MAP are working with MASS LBP to understand the needs, preferences, and values of everyday people living in Canada and their priorities for a better primary care system. The initiative will be rolled out in three phases over 15 months: phase one is a national survey, phase two are reference panels in one or more provinces, and phase three consists of community roundtables focused on marginalized populations in at least three provinces.

The OurCare team is currently looking for a **Research Coordinator II** to support the project. Key activities would include stakeholder engagement, coordination and support for public communications, reporting to funders, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, literature reviews, preparation of academic abstracts, posters, presentations and manuscripts. The Research Coordinator II will report directly to the principal investigator of the study and work collaboratively with other team members.

This position is funded for one year, with possibility of extension.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate study activities; day to day project management of timelines, resources, deliverables, and study tasks
- Support engagement of local, provincial and national stakeholders in project execution, including clinicians, policy-makers, and patient partners
- Work with communications personnel at MAP and project partners to promote the project including key milestones and findings; coordinate contracting public communications support externally as needed
- Write project summaries and communication material for different audiences including members of the public, health professionals and policy-makers
- Help prepare reports for funders and system stakeholders
- Support management of project budgets and payment schedules
- Coordinate and oversee contracts with third parties involved in the project including payment of invoices and monitoring of deliverables
- Collect data as relevant using surveys, interviews, and other methods; analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data and summarize key results
- Prepare manuscripts for publication and presents at local, national and/or international meetings in collaboration with the Principal Investigators and team members

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate Degree in clinical epidemiology or other fields related to health services research and 3 years of relevant experience, OR demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience required (Masters Degree preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian health care system, how it functions and its challenges
- Experience working with varied stakeholders including clinicians and policy-makers
- Experience coordinating a research program including familiarity with research ethics requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience translating study findings to both lay and scientific audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Familiarity with primary care is an asset
- Highly adept with Google suite of services, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, survey software as well as software used for quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis (e.g. R, NVivo etc.)
- Experience with social media including preparing posts and related graphics is an asset
- Experience in several aspects of research study development, initiation, execution, analysis and interpretation
- Experience with the preparation of scholarly manuscripts and research presentations as well as knowledge translation products for a range of stakeholders
