Employee Relations General Coordinator

Working alongside the Labour Relations and Performance team, the Human Resources Coordinator will contribute to the team by ensuring that all employees' labour and administrative needs are met in a timely manner, in addition to working towards attaining the regional goals in relation to HR management.
**Tasks & Duties**
- Responding to HR inquires from employees, both unionized and non-unionized.
- Responds to grievances and complaints in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and best practice.
- Reviews requests for Leave of Absence and Return to Work planning, including medical and non-occupational.
- Managing and updating the Company's HRIS, including coordinating with various departments on seniority lists.
- Provides management oversight to the company's workers disability/claims management program.
- Performs file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected, compliant and maintained.
- Provide communications through publishing internal bulletins and memorandums - as well as updating the GardaWorld website with the communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education & Skills Required**
- A university degree or college diploma, preferably in human resources, is required or equivalent experience and CHRL designation an asset.
- 1 to 2 years generalist experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Legislation, the Canada Labour Code, Canadian Human Rights Act and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to multitask and produce results in a fast paced environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint
