Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Consultant to manage and facilitate positive employee relations within our organization.

This role is responsible for serving as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance, support, and resolution to workplace issues and conflict.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR Leadership and cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive employee experience strategy aligned with organizational values and goals.
  • Maintain processes developed to support business in employee relation matters and performance discipline identification.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee relation issues, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to managers and employees on employee relation issues, conflict resolution techniques, and performance management.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures to resolve employee relation issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other departments as needed.
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance and support on performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in documenting performance issues, conducting performance improvement plans, and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with organizational goals and expectations.
  • Collaborate on developmental improvements to employee relation and performance management processes and documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing morale, motivation, and teamwork.
  • Assist with Security Clearances.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 to 9+ years of experience in HR, employee engagement, organizational development or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Humans Resources, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, regulations, and best practices related to employee relations and employee engagement principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Secret (Level II) clearance required, can be initiated upon hire.
  • Bilingual in French, strongly preferred.
